#02 – Building expansion

Hey Stalker, welcome to a new Devlog!

We are currently making good progress. Many assets have already been configured correctly so that the texture paths in DayZ are correct.

But first of all we welcome Axel_F, he is currently helping us with the collision geometry. Which brings us directly to the next point.

In addition to the texture mappings, we need to create a collision geometry for each asset so that DayZ can recognize for example a wall. To achieve this we need to recreate each asset as simply and as accurately as possible in Blender. Again, good progress has been made, but there is still a long way to go.

Furthermore, we are working on the expansion and extension of buildings.

On the GIF you can see that the rooms were not quite logical in terms of size. In this example the problem was quickly solved in Blender as you can see in the picture below.

Other buildings are currently not accessible at all. In the long run we want to change that.

On the screenshot below you can see a proof of concept of how a non-accessible building could look in the future from the inside.

Last but not least some concept pictures, we used them to get inspiration for the corridors between the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. areas.
